Jus’ Jazz

Welcome to Jus’ Jazz, your best alternative source of information pertaining to pre-recorded jazz music. This website is designed to educate, entertain and inform the listening public on the varying trends regarding “America’s most original art form.” From a historical perspective, jazz aficionados, beginners and connoisseurs are afforded the opportunity to acquaint themselves with jazz music you would just love to hear. Look to Jus’ Jazz for exposure to obscure artists and musicians who do not always appear on the most prominent jazz charts.

Every year, more than 3,000 jazz-related albums are recorded; of that number, only the more commercially viable smooth jazz recordings are given a level of popular exposure. This website will highlight jazz that will not only enhance an existing jazz collection, beginners will have the necessary tools to make informed decisions regarding the type of jazz they purchase. In either instance, jazz that is not heard over the airwaves and is often misconstrued as to urban, third tier jazz or not viably commercial will get the level of exposure the music deserves.

Although jazz is more than 100 years old and has a history that is filled with the influences of African and European culture, the roots of jazz are etched in the traditional practices of Afro-Cuban, blues and gospel music. As more and more outlets for jazz music are minimized, let Jus’ Jazz be your most viable resource to receive the best available updates and historical perspectives on jazz in all its flavors, with so much more to come.
